After 12 years as director and producer of MTV’s True Life Documentary series, Lucia Engstrom switched in 2007 from moving to still pictures in search of a different relationship between imagery and narrative. Obsessed with light, passionate about color, and fascinated by the inner story, she has put her technical mastery in service of emotional truth in portraits and painterly, atmospheric landscapes that celebrate the dance of light and life at that horizon line where earth meets water meets sky.
